About Leanne
Leanne Evans has worked and volunteered for sporting and community organisations in five countries across three continents.
She is the current Executive Officer of the Australian Womensport and Recreation Association, the peak advocacy organisation for women and girls in sport in Australia.
Leanne was a founding Director of the Buderim (Community) Foundation, now one of the most successful rural community foundations in Australia. Prior to a decade overseas, Leanne worked as the CEO of the Australian Sports Foundation and Deputy Director General of NSW Sport and Recreation.
Before that she served as the first female CEO of both Touch Football Australia and Gymnastics Queensland. Leanne has played tennis since a child and has won a Commonwealth Games silver athletics medal.
Leanne holds Bachelor of Human Movement Studies (Education) and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Queensland.
